Our friends have 5 boys who are our boys’ very best friends. They wanted bunk beds for all 5 of them and asked Tom to build them. It always makes it fun when Tom and I design together, he builds and then I finish off with the styling. My favorite part of any design project is the styling and this one was so fun.

We first put all those boys (theirs and ours) to work to clear the room.

I gathered inspo from some faves and Tom got to work.

He started framing all the beds.

Next, the electrician came to wire for their sconces.

We then met with Randall of Erskine Concepts to measure for the metal work.

Tom built the shelving off site at his workshop while the boys cheered him on.

Getting close…just waiting on the painter.

Now my favorite part…the styling.

I decided to mix patterns and colors while still keeping it neutral for 5 boys ages 3-13.

5 sets of sheets, 5 solid quilts, 5 striped quilts, 5 shams and 5 blankets. That’s a lot of bedding!

Those striped quilts and shams are my favorite. So soft and classic,

We love the way they turned out! The youngest even asked me to make his bed again the next time I was over.
