Primarily, they make a difference through Adoption Aid financial grants that help place orphans with families. Show Hope also has Special Care Centers in China that help orphans with special needs. Through programs like their Advocates, Student Initiatives, and Sponsorship, they are truly mobilizing a movement of individuals and communities who show hope to children in need.

— BLOOD:WATER MISSION —

Blood:Water began as a call to personalize the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa. After funding a late stage AIDS hospice, Co-Founders Jars of Clay and Jena Lee Nardella learned of the vital link between living with HIV/AIDS and the need for clean, safe water. People living with HIV/AIDS have a weakened immune system. Bacteria in dirty water holds the potential to be life-threatening for those living with the virus, while it may only make a person without the virus slightly ill. 

Blood:Water is an equipping agency that partners with African grassroots organizations to address the HIV/AIDS and water crises. They do this by identifying Africa’s hidden heroes and coming alongside their vision for change. Family Enrichment Center’s mission is to empower families and prevent child abuse by providing education, social support, crisis intervention, and a safe environment for parents and their children; to promote healthy family functioning through assistance and treatment of the entire family; and to increase public awareness, knowledge and sensitivity toward child abuse and neglect so that full community support and involvement may be enlisted to eliminate this serious social problem.

25:40 love was thrilled to partner with No. 41 by donating a portion of our proceeds to this life-changing organization.

No.41 started on a whim and a prayer in March 2012, with the intent of teaching young women from the Noel Orphanage in Gisenyi, Rwanda (ages 18-25) not only to sew, a culturally relevant trade that would always sustain them, but to give back to their community through a feeding program supporting local schools. The first No.41 bag was sold in May 2012 and today they employ 20 women from the orphanage, as well as 10 from the surrounding village. They have 8 mamas better caring for their 12 children and 19 of their young women are now enrolled in university. In February 2013, No.41 opened their first feeding program, providing a hot, healthy lunch to 900+ students and teachers, daily.

No.41 is about empowering young women. Their goal is not to give them the world, but to show them that God has already given them everything they need to go out there and take it. 25:40 love partnered with Morning Star Foundation by donating a portion of our proceeds to the LOVE project. The sad reality for many impoverished families around the world who have children born with congenital heart disease is that they are often forced to choose between abandoning their child or watching their child die.

No parent should have to make this choice, and no child should suffer without a parent simply because taking care of them is too expensive. The LOVE project aims at forming a community of believers who come together to reach out to families parenting children with heart disease who because of financial limitations are faced with this terrible choice. The LOVE project requires significant funding—but the needs do not stop there. In addition to caring financially for these families, the LOVE project will provide volunteers to invest in each of the families by caring for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs until the child recovers. Mercy Childcare Ministry was founded by Pastor Wilfred Blair Rugumba and Pastor Wilson Bugembe in Uganda in 2002. This work was inspired by Pastor Wilson’s life story; having lost both his parents to AIDS, he ended up living on the streets of Kampala. He faced mistreatment from his grandparents and then met a good Samaritan on the streets who took him into his home and educated him.

In response to the overwhelming numbers of street children, orphans and abandoned babies being brought to Pastors Wilfred and Wilson for help, they opened their single-roomed house (10x8ft) for such children. At the time, they were still in high school. Since that time, they have continued taking in children, doing what they can for each individual and their family as the Lord allows them. Through rescue, rehabilitation, reconciliation and restoration, Mercy Childcare Ministry is truly serving the least of these (Matthew 25:40). www.mercychildcare.org.
