I am so excited to have a laundry room/mudroom again! And this stone look tile from Atlas Concorde USA absolutely steals the show! I wanted a tile that looks as close to natural stone as I could get and I found it! The veining, the texture and scratching of natural stone but with a price point of porcelain tile is just what I was looking for. Reflecting on the process of remodeling our home during the last couple of years brings back all the feelings—gratitude, exhaustion, utter bliss and bits of frustration. But when the vision comes to life and the cherry on top is tile this gorgeous, I’m left with a feeling of satisfaction. Actually, I’m beyond satisfied—which gives me that little boost I need to go finish the rest of this house.

We knew we wanted lots of hidden storage in here so we used the entire back wall to create 4 lockers.

Another essential we wanted to make sure we included was a folding table. Tom was so tired of laundry being all over the dining table at our last house.

This space was actually two separate rooms when we purchased the house. The previous owners used one room for a nursery and the other for a laundry room. We decided to remove the wall in between to create one laundry/mudroom space.

We lived like this for a while and I don’t miss it one bit.

And then it started getting better. Removing that wall made a world of difference.

After lots of drywall work, removing the old flooring, painting, moving the exterior door and adding recessed lighting, it was time to install the tile and then cabinets.

Our kitchen was also non functional at the same time, as you can see. Do you spot the bananas?

I can’t believe the day has come to finally be able to style this space. My favorite part.

It is so nice to see it come back together after all of that hard work. The Atlas Concorde USA stone look tile really does steal the show in here. The soapstone color is perfect and hides lots of dirt and mud, as a mudroom floor should.

There she is. All dressed up and ready to go. Stay tuned…
