Our Rockford Estate Blend® thin stone veneer in INDIANA LIMESTONE – FULL COLOR BLEND™ from Polycor Hardscapes and Masonry is showing off! I love this stone so much and every time I show it I’m asked about it. So, without further ado here’s a full blog post dedicated to this beautiful, natural limestone!
As you know, this renovation has been quite the journey! One of our very favorite materials is natural limestone, so we chose Rockford Estate Blend® thin stone veneer in INDIANA LIMESTONE – FULL COLOR BLEND™ from Polycor Hardscapes and Masonry for our exterior fireplace, exterior portico and bump out, interior fireplace and kitchen range alcove. As an interior designer and a hardwood flooring company owner, I always prefer natural materials in my projects and this natural, locally quarried stone is no exception. It was used to build many iconic buildings in the US including the Biltmore Mansion and the National Cathedral. To me, nothing compares to natural materials and this limestone is one of my favorites to use.
We used Rockford Estate Blend® thin stone veneer in INDIANA LIMESTONE – FULL COLOR BLEND™ from Polycor Hardscapes and Masonry in five distinct spaces. First up: our range alcove.
Don’t mind the McDonald’s cup in the sink and the dust from the stone installation on the countertops. I just couldn’t wait to snap a pic as soon as it was complete!
The showstopper in the living room is the floor-to-ceiling fireplace with this amazing limestone.
Our front portico is made timeless by limestone and white oak paneling.
This bump out on the front exterior is a fun surprise. Again, we used limestone to tie into the portico and other exterior features.
The exterior fireplace near the pool makes the perfect spot to gather with friends and family. The limestone details are everything we dreamed of in this outdoor living space!
Would we do it all again? 100%.
